I keep getting love bombed and ghosted why?

This guy I was speaking to said how does someone so cute not have a profile picture up and kept saying he can't believe how cute I look. Then he kept calling me cute and handsome. He got my number. We spoke a bit and haven't heard from him in days.

I keep getting love bombed by people. Expressing how attractive they find me but then ghosting me? This has happened in a row now.

I don't send nudes, I don't act clingy, I don't take hours to respond, I ask questions and show interest. I'm really polite, caring and easy to talk to.

I just don't understand.
