So last weekend, I reconnected with a guy I had hooked up with a few years ago. We ended up at my place and had an amazing time together — we hooked up for a couple of hours, cuddled, and he was overall really affectionate and romantic holding me tight while we slept. As soon as we got to my place, I told him that I was really attracted to him physically, and I assumed it made a difference on how things went between us and that he appreciated my straightforwardness. We talked a few times during the week, and we made plans to hang out again today. However, he didn’t reply until later in the day and then told me he’s not interested in dating and thinks I have different intentions. I’m confused about how someone can be so romantic and affectionate during a hookup, give compliments, and then just pull away or ghost afterward. When I feel a unique connection like I did with him and he reciprocates, I’m usually open to meeting again and seeing where things go. What’s your take on this?
