I use silicone lubes usually for anal but it seems like they get gummy or need a lot of reapplication, when previously it was like as soon as you apply it the lube is so slippery it’s almost a problem with getting everywhere. I used to use brands like Wet and Swiss Navy but it feels like there’s been some drop in quality where they just dry up. I notice this inside myself, on the outside, and even with others (using it on other people's bodies). I moved on to Boy Butter which was good at first but it seems like it’s not as good as it used to be as well (that’s a different type that’s oil based).

It feels like enshittification has reached lubes but I’m curious other’s experiences with it. I’m specifically talking about longer lasting ones for anal, not the water based lubes that evaporate by the time you think about applying them. This is very frustrating, I don’t want to hurt myself or my bottom friends but these lubes dont seem to be holding up anymore.

Have you experienced this in the past few years with lubes? Do I have to go back to the Stone Age and whip out Vaseline?
