Question from a straight guy - as gay men, how often do you hook up with or get hit on by “totally straight” guys?

I’m straight, but I’ve had a couple of male friends over the years who were “totally straight” and offered sex to either myself or others that I knew. I’ve talked to gay friends and they all have said that gay men get hit on by supposedly straight men all of the time.
Is it really that much of a thing?
