Why are some of us drawn to masculine guys?

Why am I drawn to masculine guys? I’m mostly a bottom, and I’ve realized that I’m only attracted to masculine guys who fit into the heteronormative category, even though I have feminine gay friends whom I’m very fond of.
I kind of find it conflicting to think that I might be indirectly contributing to toxic masculinity culture to some degree. Should I try to change, or just accept that these are my sexual preferences?
