Anything gay to do in Miami / Ft. Lauderdale in the summer?

So... before you say anything, my Australian friend is dead set on visiting Miami with me in July (this man also picked New York in February a couple years ago mind you - he still thinks he's in Australia I think lol).I tried to sell him on P-Town and Boston instead (Fire Island is a swim away from my house), but nope...lol.

Anyway, having said that, any ideas lol? I can't imagine the gay scene being very lively in the summer, but that's just me. Florida is like a second home to me, but I never really spent any time in Miami or Ft. Lauderdale before.
