How does one find a FWB?

I’ve seen that people have developed FWBs from a hookup or friendship first. But how does one get either? I’m on Grindr, Scruff, Sniffies, and on here, and I have 0 luck finding anyone. I’ve been ghosted too many times already by the time we got to the meetup part of a chat. I just think I’m not attractive enough and it doesn’t help that at 26, I can’t host, but NJ living is expensive af. I was off Grindr for months and got off PreP. Decided I wanted to try again but here we are. Same ol’ people and same ol’ silence 🥲. Do I have to be okay with finding people in NY or PA?
