I’ve never had a twink phase or glow up or had the same amount of attention that many younger instagay/top 1% type guys have. I’ve always been a cub or bear, so I’ve never really experienced what these guys experience when they’re at their prime.
What I wonder is does all of that attention from all sorts of guys affect your personality and lead to narcissistic tendencies or personalities, since you are in essence at the top of the gay hierarchy so to speak. How does one handle that and especially at a typically younger age?
While on one hand it must feel like winning the lottery, but on the other hand, it must frustrating to deal with all the messages, unwanted advances, weirdos and creeps, and maintain a healthy self image. Does this inflate your ego? Do you become bitter inside? Or do you become stronger and more centered mentally? What is your experience?
Edit: I intended but left out that I’m not trying to generalize, as with all groups you can have narcissistic people who aren’t attractive and very well adjusted people who are. Just wondering if this is a trend.
