I see a lot of posts about what it's like to be in a long term relationship. So below is a little insight into mine.
I'm married twenty years. We're both 42 & met through friends in college. (before apps were a thing people actually talked to one another!) It was a case of love at first sight. He's my best friend, we walk around naked, fuck when we please, smoke a lot of pot & watch a lot of cartoons, check out guys together, jerk off together/in-front of one another. We wear one another's underwear, trade clothes, and piss with the door wide open. We're way past farting in-front of each other, we're talking two grown men living together for 20 years. I cook, he cleans. We get those little addresses labels from charity organizations with our names as Mr & Mr., shave each other's back hair, and go for manicures & pedicures together. Mix all that in with a mortgage, work, relationship drama, car payments, managing a household, etc, etc.
I don't know how heterosexual couples operate, but my gut tells me there's less of a bond on a friendship level. The mundane stuff is all the same, we even have the same last name, he took mine -- keeps it easy & it makes us feel like a tighter family unit.
