Studies have shown people who live in densely populated cities tend to be thinner and fitter than those that live in suburbs and rural areas. However, densely populated cities have a larger gay population than the surrounding areas.
In your experience, does this difference in body type translate to expectations about what your hookup/boyfriend/partner looks like? Does it mean that for example a bigger guy who is not within the conventional body standards is going to have an easier time outside the city finding one of those and experience more criticism when he goes to a city?
Obviously everyone has different tastes and there’s probably no hard and fast rule, but conventional wisdom says that city = more gays = more dating/hookup opportunities, but does this work the other way(more success in suburbs/rural) if you’re not within conventional standards?
What are your observations and experiences?
