Jake hill, also known as ur pretty, Dixon Dallas is presumably straight man that makes songs with both straight and gay sexual themes. Some of his songs with gay content are âKeep riding meâ, âGood lookingâ, and âFill me upâ
I find myself addicted to these songs and in addition they evoke a reclamation of certain genres of music that never had mainstream gay themes to them, which I wish growing up they did. On the flip side, his songs also feel like theyâre motivated by shocking straight older people for memes or TikTok videos.
Do you think itâs homophobic, normalizes gay themes in music, or just a fun song that shouldnât be read into that much? What are your thoughts?
