Did a very close and strong emotional connection/friendship with an older male, in your teens, effect your decision to be gay or bi?
Post Body

Thinking back, when I was a confused teen say 15/16 with limited sexual experience - I struck up a very close and strong bond with much older guy. He turned out to be gay. He never hit on me or anything, but we kind of had a mutual 'knowing' and bond and we just got on so well. I definitely had a crush on him at the time but oppressed it. I think he sort of knew I did. He was super smart, built, successful and handsome. And just so kind and good to me with a brutally fun banter and personality. I think as I grew, I realised more and more how discovering guys like him made me so attracted to guys in general. At the time I was convinced I was straight. Did anyone else experience something like this?
