How is gay life/nightlife in Dublin ?

Hello, I (M, 22, gay) got an academic offer to Dublin (Ireland) for four years. I currently live in Paris (France).

Now, I am afraid that the gay community and nightlife in Dublin would be depressingly small compared to the one I’m used to in Paris (the city being 24 times less populated than Paris region).

Are there any gay bros that live or lived in Dublin that could inform as to how is the gay community and nightlife there ? Is it a fun place to spend your 20s, go to parties and meet guys ?
