ideal wait time between taking valium and lorazepam

i took 12.5mg of valium last night it’s been over 24 hours and need something stronger for my anxiety so i was going to take 2mg of lorazepam but i know valium has a long half life so was wondering if anyone knows if it being 24 hours is long enough and safe?
