Trigger warningaddiction I have been prescribed Suboxone strips for opioid dependence and gabapentin for restless leg syndrome. I was in another state so my medicine had to be mailed to me. Due to the weather my package was 7 days. If you're desperate enough gabapentin will stop the opioid withdrawals. I didn't realize/care how many I was taking I just wanted the withdrawal to stop. After 2 days my legs began to tingle oddly but I chalked it up to withdrawal. Well after 5 days I finally get my package but it's also the day I run out of the gabapentin. The first two days I noticed an odd tight feeling under my left arm. Then the tight tingly feeling began to move all over my arm, hand, shoulder, neck and face. It felt like fire in my veins. It felt like a swarm of bees in my lips. My mouth would burn my throat would ache. And it felt like it just flowed from one place to the next never stopping. I got the taste of copper in my mouth no matter what I did. The muscles under my skin would spasm constantly the nerves would burn. On day 5 I began having really painful heart palpations, like someone was squeezing my heart. It would hurt to the middle of my back. The base of my neck got stiff and when I would bend to vomit it hurt really bad and caused bright colors to pop behind my vision. There was an insanely loud ringing in right ear that would get worse when I moved. I almost thought it rupture my eardrum. I got this hazy white glow around my vision and I lost control of the muscles in my hands. Even when I got more gabapentin it only helped for about 10 minutes then the symptoms came back tenfold. I feel I should also tell you what I was taking. I taking between 7-10 600mg daily. I'm still dealing with effects but thankfully it's not quite as bad. I have an appointment with doctor Wednesday. Has anyone else dealt with something similar? Does anyone have maybe some insight? Thank you for reading and sorry for the post.
