My partner and I are looking for a solution to the AC unit noise while i'm tripping and i was wondering if you had any ideas.

Long story short, when i'm tripping the sound of our central AC drives me NUTS. However my partner needs it on to sleep. Other than headphones, do y'all have ideas to how we could remedy this? I'm open to any suggestions.
