What is the scientific consensus on the relationship between smoking weed and vasoconstriction?

I was always under the impression that THC caused vasodilation, and that one of the big issues with smoke inhalation with cigarettes was that nicotine caused vasoconstriction, which amplified the negative effects of smoke inhalation in some way. Im hearing now that inhaling smoke/vapor of any kind is vasoconstrictive, which seems bizarre to me. Is there something about the act of smoking that is itself vasoconstrictive?
