So every so often I get the taste of blood in my mouth and I'll go to spit, the spit will usually be a brownish yellow color when this happens, and usually if I spit a few more times I clear it. However, I just got a strong taste of blood in my mouth and went to spit and there was very clearly blood in my spit. Not a ton, but about the amount as when you nick yourself when flossing, maybe a bit more. Still, it's pretty worrying. As you can you probably tell so far, my dental hygiene definitely isn't the best. However, it's not horrible. Like, I bleed whenever I floss, but I've only gotten one cavity in my life. I went to the dentist for an unrelated matter a few months ago, and he didn't mention seeing any pressing issues while he was digging around my mouth. I'm not sure what to do here. I don't know if this is an "oh yeah that happens" sort of thing or a "fuck dude you have to go to the doctor" issue. I would like to avoid having to see my dentist, since he doesn't take my insurance and it feels pretty risky to walk into a building where a bunch of people have their mouths hanging open in this day and age.
