Signs of a wisdom tooth?

My bottom left gum is starting to swell like a bubble. I'm not sure if its because my gums are infected or if its a wisdom tooth coming in. I am 30 and its about that time and I've yet to have my wisdom tooth. I can't sleep on the left side of my face because its too painful.
I can't visit a dentist because I'm not on any dentist plan yet so I'm not sure what to do, the pain keeps getting worse and is giving me headaches.
