Second opinion on root canal?
Post Body

I just saw a new dentist today who advised me to get a root canal.

I have a deep and large filling on molar 19 and have some cold sensitivity. They did multiple X-rays and told me there was nerve inflammation and want to do a root canal on it.

I feel like nerve inflammation (not infection) and just sensitivity that I’ve had for years doesn't warrant a root canal. I plan on getting a second opinion from another dentist, but also wanted to ask here.
