My tooth #19 had a root canal and then a permanent crown procedure due to some pain I was feeling while chewing. The root canal was a month and a half ago and while the endodontist mentioned I would still feel the same pain while chewing for a while after at this point I’m getting concerned that the infection is still there and the root canal was a failure. Either that or maybe I need an adjustment of the crown as sometimes I feel it’s a little too tall feeling but maybe that’s because of the pain when I bite down.
I’m sad because the pain was gone almost completely for a while except when I flossed. Now suddenly it’s back again for about a week. It doesn’t really happen when I chew food though just when I apply pressure in a specific spot and I also have some chaw pain in the area of that tooth.
A detail that the endodontist mentioned about my tooth was that I have four long roots.
I’m almost wondering if that could be why it’s taking to heal or maybe it’s infected. I’ll probably call on Monday but still debating if I’ll start with just my normal dentist or the endo instead. I’ve spent so much money on this darn thing really thought it was finally over. Just wondering which one I should go to now. If you think it could be a failure or adjustment needed.
