Long story short, I had a filling added to half a tooth next to my front teeth years ago and it came off last month. I ended up getting a tooth infection on Monday and got it treated yesterday with antibiotics.
After the infection heals, I'll have to make a decision on what to do next. I'll probably get the tooth extracted but I'm not sure about getting an implant due to costs and possibly leaving my job for another field so I may lose my dental insurance. Is it possible to get the tooth extracted, wait a few months, and then maybe get the implant, or is it important to do it right away?
There's also the question of whether I can pay for the implant with a payment plan, seems like the dentist I went to yesterday would probably charge it all up front once insurance's portion is taken out and I'm not sure I like that.
