Help, please—how severe is my condition?

So I was recently seen by the dentist and referred to a periodontist. I’m actually kinda shaken up about this, I know there’s a chance I could lose teeth. It’s stressing & even more embarrassing that I have to tell my significant other about this ( poor oral hygiene being an ick of course). I’ve been having a tough time with depression and all, I smoke marijuana on a regular basis. Just want to know what I should expect, how bad it is from these X-Rays since I’m not sure what I’m looking at.
