How does terminating a lease work?

I want to lease a 2023 Honda Civic and the lease is $230/mo for 36 months but i dont see myself using the car for 36 months(24 months at most). I want to know how terminating the lease will work. Will i end up paying a huge penalty? I dont want to speak to the dealership concerning this cos they can be a pain in the ass and I haven’t been able to find any meaningful information online. Kindly help. Thanks
