i can't even really believe i'm asking this but car shopping is fucked these days. I'm looking for an avalon hybrid in a certain price range. i currently live in california and aren't having any luck but theres one at beaverton toyota in portland, flights are cheap to there and i would like to register to my home in eugene anyway.

the dealership has 7k reviews averaging 4.5 stars on google... not sure what to do really.

my current buying strategy has been to find a car, check carfax for records, if acceptable get a pre purchase inspection and then proceed from there with test drive etc. (I live in rural northern california so to get to any city with a car i actually want is at least 1.5 hours each way).
