I'm a car sales professional and was recently scouted and offered a much better pay plan with less hours at a dealership right next door. My current dealership is rather short staffed right now as well and I'm having to do a lot of our business managers work now that she is gone leaving me with much less time to prospect / getting behind on other work. This was only a tough decision due to my current manager having put a lot of time into training me for almost the last 2 years making me a much better salesperson and I would be putting the store in a touch position with our staffing issues.....
I've decided to take the position but dreading having to tell my boss I'm quitting. I'm almost certain I'll be dismissed the moment I tell him and let's just say he is..... passionate (may have a fit.) How would you sales managers want someone to hand their 2 weeks in while also letting them know you're sorry you'll be putting them in a touch position staffing wise?
