General question: What are people doing at end of lease?

I know it varies by situation, but are most buying the car after? I can’t imagine they are leasing another with inventory what it is. I will be significantly under miles. I was hoping to roll the miles over to something else. Could I start discussing a preorder? I still have six months remaining.
