I'm looking at two 2018 Camry XSE's. Both models are 4 cylinder and the same options and color. My last ride was totaled so I'm anxious to find a new ride, but thought I could take advantage of it being the end of the month and maybe save some money. One thing to note, I live in Massachusetts, and Car 1 is in Mass, but Car 2 is in New Hampshire. I need help deciding which one to go with. I could also use help on if my desired price points are realistic. I tried to be as informative as possible, but if I missed anything, let me know and I'll be happy to include in the comments. The differences are as follows:
Car 1
- Pre-owned, from a Nissan dealer
- Edmunds lists it as having been on the lot for 70 days
- 10k miles, 5 year, 100,000 mile (I assume, pretty limited) warranty
- internet price of $23,324, and was quoted $22,500 before fees, reg., etc., by a sales person online if I buy before the end of the month
- KBB fair purchase price is $24,862, with the fair market range going from $22,045 to $24,872
- Will probably finance through my credit union, who approved me at 2.9% APR
- My hope is to get it down to $22k plus $175 title and registration, and an unknown dealer/doc fee (hopefully less than $500). Tax would be $1,375, so let's say $24,050 OTD
Car 2
- CPO, from a Toyota dealer
- Edmunds says it's been on the lot for 21 days, and the price has actually gone up from when it was listed at, $24,291
- 38k miles, but comes with 1 year, 12,000 mile comprehensive warranty and 7 year, 100,000 mile power-train warranty
- Internet price of $24,692, was quoted $27,029 OTD
- KBB fair purchase price is $23,459, with fair market range of $22,045 to $24,872
- Qualifies for $1.9 APR from Toyota Financial Services (over 60 months this would save me around $400 total over using my credit union)
- My goal is to get it down to $23,000 plus $175 title and registration, $495 dealer/doc, and $1,400 tax. That's $24,570 OTD.
