Leasing or Buying New Vehicle: #'s Question!

I'm looking at either buying or leasing a new mini-van... and after speaking with a few dealers, I was a bit surprised to see the leasing numbers so high!

I'll put out the few figures and see if anyone can make sense of them or provide any input to this dimwitted car-seeker!

2018 Honda Odyssey Elite - $47,600 or thereabouts

Leasing for 3 years is about $670-690 a month

Buying it over 72 months is about $660 a month and over the 84 month period, it is around $590.

Does it make any sense at all to lease with these numbers? And is it strange that the leasing #s are quite a bit higher than the buying monthly numbers?
