How does the time a car sits on the lot affect its value? (washington purchase)

Post Body

There's a particular used SUV I'm thinking about. According to the Carfax report it was originally offered for sale by the affiliate dealer's Hyundai branch. A year later and no action on the carfax, the car is offered for sale at the affiliate dealer's Chrysler branch. How does this lot age affect the value of the car to the dealer?

Would this make it easier to negotiate a better price on the vehicle? Any tips on how to basically say, "Oh, by the way, X-SUV has been sitting on your lot for 347 days, and I Know that costs you 3$/day..." or something like that?

Thanks!
