So I bought a used tesla model 3 feom a place called my eco auto. They sell used electric cars and are a good reputable dealer in my area. After closing they said that it would take 2 to 3 weeks to confirm all the details I gave them for the loan with the bank (ie where I work what I make where my cosigner works what she makes). I just don't understand why this takes 2 to 3 weeks. I'm not buying a house. Is there some law in MA or RI that prevents them from taking this long? Probably not. Thwy them said that once that atep is done they will drive tohe car down to RI for me where I live, get the VIN checked by the police and then meet me at the DMV so I can pay RI state taxes on it and then they can take care of the registration and the plates and stuff.
The second part is fine. If all it 2as gonna be was 48 hours that's fine but like my car is totaled the axle snapped.im f*cked without a car and my rental is expensive. I don't want to spend 1500 to 2000 dollars over the next 2 to 3 weeks on a rental car cuz this deal is somehow special and takes more time.
They tried to explain it like "oh tesla does the same thing" I looked and tesla takes 1 to 2 weeks but they also don't have dealerships and they ship the car to you. I dove the car I'm buying around the lot so I know they have it.
I just want my car and I'm not sure why it's taking so long and I don't want to continue paying for a rental and I with there was some way that they would have to take less time or help me with the rental or SOMETHING. Does anyone have anything at all for me on any of this? Even just answers about the time frame would be super helpful. Thanks!
