As of May 2024, my car motor blew up last week. A mechanic friend estimated that it will in a couple thousands to just get it running and there would be no guarantee as to how many miles it can go before another problem comes up. Due to a lot of personal reasons that is not affordable and the car was old anyway so sort of outdated in 2024. This opened up the possibility to buying a new ca, either financing or leasing because as a college freshman unfortunately I don’t have money to buy straight cash and my parents are not wealthy to lend me money. With my current income, it is about 45% of my monthly income to lease or finance but as a young guy, i don’t have bills to pay so that’s all money that I can use and still have over half of my income monthly for any emergency. This seems like a good idea if i am guaranteed the income for 2-3 years
People on reddit sort of scare me with their opinion lol, they talk in super extremes
I had a Yamaha R6 and I crashed it in 3 months. Lucky and always grateful to walk away, gonna stick to 4 wheels only
2.2k and months with 5 weeks, little over 2.7k
45% of my monthly income and 4 months at the job, most certainly going to keep this job for various factors and elaborate the last question… lol my young vocabulary doesn’t know what that is yet
I was looking at leasing a 2024 Mazda 3 Hatchback. It has all my requirements, just need financial reassurance lol… listed at $26,500, 742 credit score with a 10 month history and 3k down
Yeah I am looking at accord and Camry but I seriously don’t got money to buy cash lol, even off FB marketplace. Also looking at Mazda 3
Yeah that was already a recommended idea but I have many things in my life like commuting to school, then work and other reasons to go for personal reasons I can’t explain. Using a Taxi is almost $60-$80 a day so need a car because this will be a car I use for the family as well since we currently don’t have one. But like I said, a lot of personal reasons that sort of justify the reasonings
