Dealer gave me Market trade in Value for my car at the moment is 22,500
Used Car that I’m looking at costs listed on their site 26,499
Most I’m willing to cover out of pocket including trade in is 5k.
For some reason the dealer is quoting me at needing to cover roughly 10k along with my trade in, meaning total monetary value I am Handing over to the dealership is 22k for my trade in and 10k out of pocket so 32k. How am I paying more than the worth of the used car with my trade in plus cash. How does any of this make sense. Since I can’t post the picture here is a break down of the deal paper they gave me.
Market Value of car I’m looking at Selling Price - 26499 Reconditioning Cost - 1488 Toyota Certification - 1895 Total Purchase - 29882 Trade Allowance - 22,500 Trade Difference- 7382 Taxable Fees (Estimated) - 298 Doc Fee- 998 Tax - 545.68 Non Tax Fees - 100 Remaining Balance Due - 9,323.68
