Is it ever worth it to buy a car with a rebranded title, rebuilt, or a car that’s been in an accident?
Post Body

I’m buying my first used car on my own and live in Washington state. Previously, Washington was ranked one of the worst drivers in the US. Because of this, there are a ton of used vehicles on the market that have been in an accident and or have bad titles: rebranded, reconstructed, viewed as a total loss, etc.

My understanding it is super difficult to title a car that doesn’t have a clean title, as in more hoops to jump through.

As far as cars go that were in accidents, I was under the assumption that as long as there wasn’t significant damage to the frame or the air bags weren’t deployed, it’s considered an okay to drive used vehicle. Is this still accurate?

Idk, I would be worried about buying a vehicle that was wrecked previously. Even if the repairs were done by a professional and records with proof of repairs.

What are your guys’ thoughts on this?
