So I had a new 2023 Corolla Hybrid that I got a little over a month ago. I was t boned and the car was totalled last week. After all the bills are paid I am getting a check from the insurance company for 6k. I don't like domestic cars at all and really would prefer (Honda, Subaru, or Toyota)

So I am looking a two options.

  1. Get a clunker and wait till something I want comes out (e.g. Civic Hybrid)

  2. Get a base Corolla hatch back and wait for what I want to come out

  3. Buy the best that I can right now with a budget OTD of 34k.

What are your thoughts considering I have to get something now. What I really want (Prius Prime) is no where near me. My primary must have features are heated seats, LKA, DCC, and Android Auto, lumbar would be nice but not essential if the seats are built right.

With my budget, interest rates, and supply, what is the smart move here?
