Small town dealer (70-80 units per month) sales here. 15 years at the store. Recent buyout with new management. How do I convince management that the old days of "if they won't come in, we aren't working a deal" is going out the door. Most of our business comes from 2 cities 45 minutes to an hour away and they'll pass several dealerships to come to us. If a customer is 3 hrs away, we won't give trade ballparks, payments, or even take credit apps. We have another dealership close by advertising on their website that they will do all the above, but we are stuck in our heads that if they won't come here they aren't serious. Trying to figure out an answer as my sales have been halved due to this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
