Not sure if these belongs here or r/personalfinance

BUT

I recently went on the hunt to finance my first vehicle. I found one I really liked and had the dealership run my credit. The numbers they offered were unattractive, to say the least, so I went to another dealership, where I found the same car at a lower price. They ran my credit as well, and I ended up buying that one because it was a better deal.

Other than those two inquiries, I also applied for a loan (which was denied) from my bank to buy the car and for a new credit card, which I was approved for, but my credit report shows 13 hard inquiries. So where did the other 11 come from?

Also, I read that if you make multiple hard inquiries within a short amount of time, they’ll only count as one. It’s only been about two weeks, so will these inquiries eventually count as one?
