Hi Everyone!
So I am in the process of buying a new car, specifically a Honda Accord Hybrid Touring, and am shopping around dealerships in my area (DE and NJ). I just finished up medical school in Virginia and am still residing in VA (will be moving to DE in about a week, after which I will buy my car).
As I am calling these dealerships to get an "out the door price" I am getting a lot of resistance from the sales reps. They, understandably so, would rather have me in the chair infront of them discussing this. Some are willing to give me an out the door price, while others are resistant to even tell me if they have a market adjustement on the car/what that adjustement is. Unfortunately, this is not an option given my current situation.
My questions are this:
What is the best way to go about this situation? I want to be an informed shopper but at the same time, it is becoming frustrating calling all of these places and facing so much resistant?
Secondly, what are some good questions to ask while on the phone? I am asking about financing options they have at the dealerships and any extra fees that are not listed on the website that factor into the price of the car.
If anyone has any suggestions, they would be much appreciated!
