Do aftermarket parts void warranties?

Post Body

I have a new car with lifetime powertrain warranty. I'm thinking of keeping it forever but I'll like to do a couple of modifications throughout the years. I doubt cosmetics will void any warranties BUT..

I'll like to swap my oem seats with some aftermarket seats. In order to do that, I'm going to have to mess with the airbag and seatbelt sensors as well as DIY seat brackets because they don't really sell aftermarket parts for my car. I also want to install Fog Lights and side mirrors with turning signals.

Would those electrical mods void my warranty if I do them myself? Should I have all that done by a certified mechanic or would it still void it?
