Check oil light appears/disappears?

I don't know if this is a silly question, but I'm a first time car owner and I've noticed that whenever I drive a little longer, the light comes on. I stop as soon as i can and check the oil level , it seems fine to me and when i start the car after, the light is gone and doesn't appear again. This has happened twice so far ( I've only had the car since last Friday ). Might there be some issue or is my oil just too low? It's a 2012 VW Golf 7 1.4 TSI Automatic (petrol) with 134'000 km(83'263 miles) on it. Last full service was done at 122'000 km (75'807 miles).
