What should I pay attention to most when looking for an inexpensive car that will still be reliable with proper maintenance?
Post Body

I do get it’s not ideal, but I plan on having marketplace be my main mode of search. Not against dealership but they’re often outside of my range. Max is $10,000 but I’d love to stay a few thousand under if possible. I keep hearing mixed things in other threads.

Newer car with lower miles? Trustier brand but higher miles and age? When proper maintenance can (hopefully) be proven, what route is best? What brands should I totally avoid and what should I seek out? Thoughts on rebuilt titles?
