Should I tell my long distance partner about the origin of AAVE?

Post Body

My partner (me and them are white) is younger (they're 16, I'm 18), but constantly uses AAVE in a slang-esc way. Mainly words like "gonna." I know they have no harmful intentions since they are very much a Black Lives Matter supporter, anti-racist, and is a huge advocate for equality and diversity wherever they go. They also grew up in a very diverse neighborhood and, to my knowledge, continue to live there.

I guess what I'm wondering is if this is cultural appropriation, should I educate them on it, and should I tell them to stop using AAVE?
