First off, I know that Black people aren't all professionals on race and discrimination. You may not have the answers to this, and that is fine. Everyone's experiences are different, and just being a minority doesn't make you an almighty source of knowledge for where discrimination came from, how to deal with it, and how to end it. That's not how life works for everyone, unfortunately. If all minorities had the answers, we wouldn't still be tackling racism thousands of years after the first humans were ever conceived.
Second off, if you are Black and you're uncomfortable answering, don't answer if you don't want to. You guys go through racism more than whites ever will, and I have no clue if talking about it is a good coping strategy for everyone.
Third off, I just want to ask this because I want to be more of an anti-racist. Albeit unintentionally, this may also be a nice area on Reddit where other whites willing to learn about racism better and change themselves can go to learn about these topics. Truth be told, whites, myself included, need to learn more. We're too emotionally safe, and these uncomfortable topics should be brought up.
