I tried asking on a Facebook group but the moderators kept deleting it.
I love Agatha Christie, And Then There Were None is my favourite. They got a cover designed for the anniversary of the book with a skeleton hand reaching down from the sky, and for a while I wanted the skeleton hand tattooed to commemorate it.
The book used to have the N word in the title, the rhyme with the word in was used as a motif in the book. Really horrendous to think about, and I thought the tattoo was a bad idea cause it represented a book that used to use that word frequently as a plot device. I mentioned it in a conversation (with other white people) and they all said they don’t think it’s that bad.
Obviously that never has been and never will be something for me or those people to decide. I’m not doing this as a pass to get a tattoo, I’m not getting it regardless, I’m just wanting to know if I’m being assumptive on issues I will never understand. Thanks in advance
