Should I avoid companies who support other companies who have a racism issue?

What I mean by this is let's say a company sells starbucks for example (Starbucks has a long and storied history with racism). Should I boycott Target and Barnes and Noble stores, as well, since they often sell Starbucks products and proudly advertise it?
This obviously applies to all companies, bit just these three. But since I love target and b&n these are what come to mind first for me.
