So, I have ocd (this plays into the post. It's actually a main part of it) and I had it fir all of my life. Usually it causes intrusive thoughts that I don't want and a lot of stress comes as a result of that.
For a few years, however, my ocd has been about race. Specifically anti-Black racism. And many times if I see Black people, intrusive thoughts start to form and I hate it so much...
But sometimes when I see Black people, I just get... stressed. I don't even know why. And it isn't in the racist way of "oh no no might get violent," because I know that the odds are VERY high that, no, a Black person WON'T get violent. It's just... stress for seemingly no reason. I never had this happen before my ocd latched onto racism, so I'm confused.
So am I racist, or is this ocd...? Before you answer, I do have another post of mine that might help you answer ( https://www.reddit.com/r/askblackpeople/comments/y53qud/was_i_racist_black_people_only/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button ) I also know that you aren't all mental health experts, but I only trust Black people with knowing what is and isn't anti-Black racism.
