Trigger Warning: kkk is mentioned and a central focus of what m talking about (m not painting them in a good light so don't worry lol)
So, I watched a YouTube short that said something fairly interesting (this is the short: https://youtube.com/shorts/bgNEUSIYJIs?feature=share ). It's about how someone noticed how the kkk votes democrat. I looked it up and not only is it true, but many democratic presidents have been racist, with many of them supporting slavery and Jim crow (even our current president does. (He has had a history of supporting segregation as seen here in an article by nbc https://www.nbcnews.com/news/nbcblk/joe-biden-didn-t-just-compromise-segregationists-he-fought-their-n1021626 )
One of my questions is... what should I do with this information?
Obviously I don't want to support a party backed by the kkk (democrats), but I also don't want to support a party that wants to keep anti-Black teachings in schools (republicans).
Who would you vote for knowing this information? If you would vote at all.
Thank you for reading. I know this is a long post, and if you read all of it, thank you. I genuinely appreciate you reading all of this. With that being said, I'd gladly have a discussion about this. I'm just surprised by this all.
