Passport expiring one year after delivery of permanent residency card (Niederlassungserlaubnis 19C), how does that work?
Post Body

Hi everyone. My non-EU passport is set to expire in January 2025 and I'm supposed to get my permanent residency card which is tied to the passport sometime in early 2024. How will this affect the delivery of my permanent residency card? Will I need to make a new one when I renew my passport? Can the authorities deny me permanent residency because my passport will expire soon after I get it? In other words, can they tell me to come back a year later (in 2025) with the renewed passport?
