I have been casually looking for help for about a year and I am at my wits end. Every therapist/counselor I speak to has responded negatively to any question about the process or any doubt I show. They immediately tell me that I may be better off seeing someone else.
How can I be honest and open with a therapist if apparently any question will be seen as a rejection of their process. Are all therapists so sensitive they need their patients/clients to be mindless obedient drones. That seems like the opposite of the sales pitch the mental health field is constantly spreading.
I am also going to fucking freak out if I have one more motherfucker question my desire to get help just because I ask questions about the process.
