Right or Wrong to let my Therapist know Iā€™m reading a psychotherapy book to understand our therapy sessions better?
Post Body

In my last session, I told my Therapist I am reading a psychotherapy book because I was trying to understand Limerence, Transference and Libidinal. He was familiar with the book I was reading and said he has read some of it.

Was it smart or not smart to let him know this? Iā€™m just trying to understand everything going on and the book helps a little.

If your client was reading a therapy book would you think it could influence or change the effectiveness of sessions?
